Yohanna Joy Alvarez is the vision, inspiration, and name behind of Joy in décor. She has a natural talent that brings a new meaning to having an eye for design. Coming from a large family made up of artists, architects, and crafters she pursues design with function and beauty in mind, artfully combining shape, textiles, textures, and color palettes.
Joy is bilingual, English and Spanish and she possesses a Master’s degree in Business. She worked in the Corporate Environment for years but after discovering her love for design she decided to turn her passion into a career and went back to College, New York Institute of Art and Design. A few years later, Joy in Decor was born. Joy combines both schools and expertise to ensure a polished and smooth decorating experience. Today, Joy in decor Ocala is one of the most renowned residential design professionals in Ocala, Florida. Her work has been featured in magazines and her company has been recognized for three years in a row as BEST of Houzz for her excellent customer service.
About her personal life, she’s currently living in Ocala, Florida with her husband and her children. She serves as a volunteer in The Girl Scouts of America and her house is beautifully decorated in a Contemporary- Transitional style.
