Choosing ”Joy” Alvarez as a designer and project manager for the total renovation of the 1999 home we recently purchased in The Villages, Florida proved to be the best decision for which we will be forever thankful. Joy’s vision, astuteness and skill in design, and architectural talent combined with ‘spot on’ recommendations and perseverance resulted in a magnificent, contemporary interior that is not only superbly comfortable, but also exhibits forward thinking with smart, effective space utilization. The colors, flooring, tiling, and renovated kitchen and bathrooms speak very highly of Joy’s innate talent for understanding clients’ requirements.
What was also particularly impressive was her willingness to coordinate with us virtually throughout the entire project as we were living in another state. She chose new flooring, paint for all rooms, and bathroom and kitchen tiling and fixtures. The kitchen, with its beautiful granite counters and white fitted shaker cabinets, is especially beautiful and functional, as well as 30% larger than previously. Bathrooms are now brightly lit and spacious, featuring marble-topped vanities and re-tiled tub and shower areas. Light-colored laminate flooring throughout the house is cheerful and gives this home a spaciousness that did not previously exist.
